This striking marble mosaic depicts the Cave Canem dog.
Taken from the original mosaic at Pompeii, the words “Cave Canem” is latin for “Beware of the Dog”.
The original dog was created out of black tesserae, but brown and white tesserae has been used to create this popular dog.
